On May 27, 2020, certain creditors filed involuntary petitions under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code against Baumann & Sons Buses, Inc. (“Sons”) and ACME Bus Corp. (“ACME”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York (the “Bankruptcy Court”). By orders dated July 1, 2020, the Bankruptcy Court converted the chapter 7 cases of Sons and ACME to cases under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. On August 3, 2020, ABA Transportation Holding Co., Inc. (“ABA”), Brookset Bus Corp. (“Brookset”), and Baumann Bus Company, Inc. (“Baumann” and together with Sons, ACME, ABA and Brookset, the “Debtors”), each filed a voluntary petition for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Court in the Bankruptcy Court. This website provides information about the Debtors’ chapter 11 cases. The cases are pending before the Robert E. Grossman and are being jointly administered for procedural purposes under case number 20-72121.
