    CHAPTER 11
    Hon. Laurie Selber Silverstein
    District of Delaware
    Feb 18, 2020

Case Overview

In response to various inquiries to date, the Creditors’ Committee has scheduled a telephonic town hall meeting at 3:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 7, 2020 to answer any questions from the participants in the Boy Scouts of America Restoration Plan regarding the Boy Scouts’ bankruptcy proceedings and the Restoration Plan. If you are an active or retired participant in the Restoration Plan and would like to participate in the meeting, please email for the dial in information. No confidential information will be discussed during the town hall.

On February 18, 2020 (the "Petition Date"), the national organization of the Boy Scouts of America (the “BSA”) and Delaware BSA, LLC (collectively, the “Debtors”) filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

On March 4, 2020, the United States Trustee appointed the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the "Committee") in the Debtors' bankruptcy case pursuant to Section 1102 of the Bankruptcy Code. The Committee consists of five members: Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Girl Scouts of the United States of America, Roger A. Ohmstede, Pearson Education, Inc., and Lion Brothers Inc. The Committee has selected Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP as counsel, Reed Smith LLP as Delaware co-counsel, and AlixPartners as its financial advisor.
