Case Overview

On June 10, 2013 (the "Petition Date"), Exide Technologies (the "Debtor") filed a voluntary petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (the "Bankruptcy Court") seeking relief under the provisions of Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code (the "Bankruptcy Code").  The Debtor is represented by Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. The Debtor continues to operate its business and manage its property as a debtor-in-possession.

On June 18, 2013, the United States Trustee appointed the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the "Committee") in the Debtor's bankruptcy case pursuant to Section 1102 of the Bankruptcy Code. The Committee consists of seven members: U.S. Bank, N.A., Richardson Molding, Inc., HCL America, Inc., Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Esopus Creek Value Series Fund LP- Series "A", United Steelworkers and Transervice Logistics, Inc. The Committee has selected the Lowenstein Sandler LLP law firm as its counsel.  Sharon Levine is the principal attorney responsible for this engagement.  This website was created to assist the Committee in providing information to creditors, as well as to solicit and receive comments from such creditors.
