On May 4, 2020, the parent company of J.Crew Group, Inc., Chinos Holdings, Inc. and 17 of its affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) each filed voluntary chapter 11 petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The cases are pending before the Honorable Keith L. Phillips and are being jointly administered for procedural purposes under case number 20-32181.
On August 25, 2020, the Court entered an order confirming the Company’s plan of reorganization [Docket No. 880].
On September 10, 2020, the Company completed its financial restructuring process and emerged from Chapter 11.
The Bankruptcy Court is currently operating under the “Protocol in Response to Public Health Emergency,” which sets forth the procedures for telephonic hearings, continuances, certain motions, pre-trial conferences and other related matters, which you can read here.
